Often noted as peerless in our Latin American practice, we were honored to be named "Latin American Law Firm of the Year" for the fifteen-year period 1988-2003 by LatinFinance and also by Chambers Global for 2006. Our practices in Europe, where Cleary Gottlieb’s longstanding presence makes it one of the most established global firms on the continent, have received several recent accolades. We were named "Russian Law Firm of the Year" by International Financial Law Review in 2007 and received the Client Choice Award for Belgium by International Law Office, also in 2007. Cleary Gottlieb regularly ranks in the top five for M&A on league charts covering Europe as a whole as well as those targeting specific countries.

Our global practice areas have been widely recognized as well. In 2007, we received the "Global Capital Markets Law Firm of the Year" designation from Chambers Global, the "Capital Markets Team of the Year" from Chambers USA and "Equity Team of the Year" from International Financial Law Review. Our competition and antitrust practice is perennially recognized for its breadth and comprehensive coverage of the top issues of the day.
