Alan S. Dunning is senior counsel based in the New York office.

Mr. Dunning's practice focuses on corporate and financial matters, including international capital markets and money market transactions and securities offerings.  Mr. Dunning is also experienced in Eurobond offerings, syndicated loans and acquisitions and financings by foreign entities in the United States.  Mr. Dunning frequently lectures on legal topics as they relate to financing transactions.

Mr. Dunning joined the firm in New York in 1971, worked in the London office from 1974 to 1976 and became a partner in 1980.  He participated in opening the firm’s Hong Kong office in 1980 and returned to New York in 1982.  In 1997 he transferred to the Frankfurt office and he worked in the London office from 2004 to 2009. Mr. Dunning became senior counsel in 2008.

Mr. Dunning received a J.D. degree from Yale Law School in 1971 and an undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Princeton University in 1968.  He is a member of the Bar in New York.
