Connie Chu is an associate in the Hong Kong office.
Ms. Chu’s practice focuses on corporate and financial transactions.
Ms. Chu joined the firm in 2008. From 2008 to 2009, she was resident in the New York office. Prior to joining the firm, she was a senior associate at Romulo Mabanta Buenaventura Sayoc & de los Angeles, a leading Philippine law firm. Ms. Chu received her LL.M., with distinction, from NYU, where she was an Arthur T. Vanderbilt scholar and was awarded the George Colin Award for distinction in the Corporate Law Program. She graduated Class Salutatorian with honors from the Ateneo de Manila University, where she received her J.D. and was awarded the Medal for Academic Excellence. While at the Ateneo, she was Managing Editor of the
Ateneo Law Journal. She received her undergraduate degree,
magna cum laude, from the University of San Carlos.
Ms. Chu is a member of the Bar in New York and the Philippines. She ranked second out of 4,659 examinees in the 2002 Philippine Bar Exams. Ms. Chu’s native language is English and Tagalog, and she is proficient in Hokkien.
