Litigation and Arbitration

Criminal Defense, Internal and Other Investigations

While our five former federal prosecutors anchor the firm’s white-collar practice, the team regularly draws upon many other partners, including former general counsel of the SEC and FDIC and former senior officials of the Justice Department’s Antitrust Division and the FTC. We have represented numerous individuals and corporations in connection with criminal investigations or proceedings relating to securities and banking violations, money laundering, price fixing, political corruption, false claims, financial irregularities, and other matters. Often, these representations have cross-border aspects. On behalf of numerous corporations and financial institutions, we have also conducted internal investigations into suspected officer or employee wrongdoing. Again, cross-border aspects are frequently involved in these matters, as in a recent internal investigation for a foreign bank in which our partners and associates have conducted employee interviews in New York, London and Paris.
