Your experience in our summer program will be anything but academic. You work closely with established attorneys to play a meaningful role in firm matters. Partners and other senior lawyers supervise your work, and associates from our summer program committee mentor you.

What's more, our summer program offers the flexibility to work with different practice groups, without rotations, or to focus on a particular area.

Nor is your internship confined to Washington, D.C. International assignments are plentiful: in past years, more than one-third of our summer associates have spent time working in Cleary Gottlieb's overseas offices.

Training ranges from formal to informal: we offer a litigation "bootcamp," and corporate practice seminars, which are targeted to summer associates. What's more, summer associates can attend casual presentations that introduce them to practices throughout the firm, as well as the lawyers in each area.

You are also welcome to attend events regularly sponsored by practice groups, and CLE programs for our lawyers.

Last but hardly least, you'll take advantage of life in Washington, D.C., from numerous city-wide events, including partner-hosted dinners. And so everyone stays connected, you receive the same technology as associates and partners, fully integrating yourself in the work of the firm.
