Anfang der 80er Jahre waren wir an der Entwicklung von Zins- und Währungsswaps und in jüngerer Zeit an der Entwicklung aktien-, kreditrisiko- und rohstoffbezogener Produkte beteiligt. Durch die Entwicklung von Collateralized Mortgage Obligations (CMOs), Collateralized Bond Obligations (CBOs), Collateralized Fund Obligations (CFOs), Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) und hybriden Instrumenten, die mehreren aufsichtsrechtlichen Systemen unterliegen, hat Cleary Gottlieb Branchentrends wesentlich mitbestimmt. Unsere Innovationen, zu denen auch die ersten öffentlich angebotenen Real Estate Mortgage Investment Conduits (REMICs) mit integrierten Zinsswaps und die ersten öffentlich angebotenen aktiengebundenen Hybridinstrumente gehören, haben die US-amerikanischen Kapitalmärkte nachhaltig verändert.
