Elizabeth A. Chang is a senior attorney based in the New York office.
Ms. Chang’s practice focuses on corporate and financial transactions, particularly capital markets transactions for banking and financial institutions. She represents investment banks and issuers in a variety of SEC-registered and private debt offerings. Ms. Chang has extensive experience in the development of new financial instruments and structured equity derivatives products. In December 2007, Ms. Chang was part of the Cleary Gottlieb team representing Citigroup Inc. in its sale of $7.5 billion of mandatorily convertible trust preferred units to the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
Ms. Chang joined the firm in 2000 and became a senior attorney in 2006.
She received a J.D. degree,
magna cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School in 1999 and an undergraduate degree,
summa cum laude, from the Florida State University in 1995. From 1999 to 2000, she served as law clerk to the Honorable David G. Trager of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
Ms. Chang is a member of the Bar in New York. She sits on the Board of Directors of the Brooklyn Law School Alumni Association.
