David Aman is a partner based in the New York office.

Mr. Aman’s practice includes a broad range of financial transactions, insolvency and securities regulatory matters, with a special focus on the rights of parties to derivatives and other financial transactions to exercise remedies against insolvent financial institutions or other counterparties and on financial products and transactions structured to enhance those rights. Mr. Aman also routinely advises leading financial institutions and trade associations on broker-dealer regulation and margin regulation.

Mr. Aman is recognized as one of the country's leading financial services regulation lawyers by Chambers USA and The Legal 500 U.S.

Mr. Aman joined the firm in 2000 and became a partner in 2009. He received a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School in 1999, an M.A. from the University of Michigan in 1993, and an undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Rice University in 1990. From 2000 to 2001, he served as law clerk to the Honorable Stanley Marcus of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Mr. Aman is a member of the Bar in New York.
