Elizabeth Lenas is a partner based in the New York office.
Ms. Lenas’ practice focuses on private investment fund formation and counseling alternative investment firms, including on co-investments, spin-offs, joint ventures, shareholding arrangements, managed accounts and other transactions.

Ms. Lenas regularly counsels private investment firms, including TPG, KKR, Blackstone, Unitas Capital (formerly CCMP Asia) and the Raine Group. She has recently represented TPG Special Situations Partners in the formation of TPG Opportunities Partners II, an investment fund focused on special situations and distressed credit investments; Blackstone Alternative Asset Management in connection with the formation of a number of separately managed accounts; TPG in the formation of TPG Growth II, an investment fund focused on small- and middle-market growth equity and buyout investments in developed and emerging markets; and TPG in the formation of TPG Partners VI, L.P., its largest private equity fund with commitments of approximately $20 billion. In addition, she has also acted as counsel on consortium and co-invest arrangements in several notable mergers and acquisitions.
Ms. Lenas joined the firm in 1999 and became a partner in 2013. She received a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a James Kent Scholar, and a B.A. from New York University, where she was a University Scholar.
Ms. Lenas is a member of the Committee on Private Investment Funds of the Bar Association of the City of New York. She regularly speaks on private investment related topics, and has spoken at the IBA/ABA International Conference on Investment Funds and the Maples Investment Funds Forum.
