Jay Hoon Choi is counsel based in the Seoul office.
Mr. Choi’s practice focuses on capital markets and other financial and corporate transactions. He has represented both U.S. and international issuers, as well as underwriters, in a variety of SEC-registered and private securities offerings. Mr. Choi also advises international issuers on their disclosure obligations and compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and listing standards of the NYSE and Nasdaq.
Mr. Choi joined the firm in 1998 and became counsel in 2006. From January 1998 to August 1999 and from July 2002 to December 2005, he was resident in the New York office. From January 2006 to October 2012, he was resident in the Hong Kong office. Mr. Choi received a J.D. degree from Columbia Law School in 1998, and an M.B.A. degree from Columbia Business School in the same year. He received an undergraduate degree,
magna cum laude, from Brown University in 1994.
Mr. Choi is a member of the Bar in New York, and a solicitor of the High Court of Hong Kong. He is a native Korean speaker.
