Glenn P. McGrory is a partner based in the New York office.
Mr. McGrory's practice focuses on public and private mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and restructuring transactions. He also has experience in cross-border transactions and securities offerings.
Mr. McGrory's recent matters include representation of:
- Bausch + Lomb in its proposed acquisition of Ista Pharmaceuticals
- JPMorgan Chase in its acquisitions of RBS Sempra Commodities' global oil and metals, European power and gas and North American power and gas businesses
- Stanley, Black & Decker in its acquisition of CRC-Evans from Natural Gas Partners
- Deutsche Bank in connection with CGI Group's acquisition of Stanley, Inc.
- Citigroup in its sale of Citi-Colfondos, its Colombian pension fund management business
- The Hartford Financial Services Group in its acquisition and pending sale of Florida thrift Federal Trust Corporation and its participation in the U.S. Treasury's Capital Purchase Program
- The Hartford in the $2.5 billion capital investment by Allianz SE
- First Reserve in connection with its mining joint venture with Harmony Gold in South Africa and the pending sale of its South African gold and uranium assets to Gold One International
- American Express Company in its acquisition of General Electric’s corporate payment services business
- The Midland Company in its $1.3 billion merger with Munich Re Group
- Euronext in its merger with New York Stock Exchange, creating the first transatlantic securities exchange company
- Ricoh Co. in its acquisition of IBM's printing systems division
Mr. McGrory joined the firm in 2000 and became a partner in 2009. He was resident in the Frankfurt office in 2001 and the London office from 2003-2005. He received a J.D. degree from the Yale Law School in 2000, a M.S. degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in 1993 and an undergraduate degree,
magna cum laude, from Georgetown University in 1993.
Mr. McGrory is a member of the Bar of New York and the Corporation Law Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. His native language is English, and he is proficient in French.
