Gianluca Russo’s practice focuses on Italian and international tax issues.

He advises Italian and foreign clients on the tax aspects of cross-border M&A transactions, including private equity deals, on the taxation of financial instruments, including debt (notes and financing issuances) and equity deals, and on all aspects of personal tax practice, individuals’ tax planning, trusts and succession planning.

He also regularly advises on compensation and benefit matters, including executive compensation, the benefit aspects of mergers and acquisitions, and the tax implications of employee incentive plans.

Gianluca joined the firm’s Rome office in 2004, and was resident in the New York office from 2006 to 2007.
