David G. Sabel is a partner based in the London office. He was previously based in the firm’s New York office from 1984 to 1990 and from 1996 to 2003, and in the firm’s Brussels office from 1991 to 1995.
Mr. Sabel's practice currently focuses on sovereign finance and sovereign debt restructuring, as well as sovereign arbitration and litigation. Since 1991, Mr. Sabel has been the principal partner responsible for the firm’s representation of the Russian Government.

Mr. Sabel joined the firm as an associate in 1976 and became a partner in the firm’s New York office in 1984. Mr. Sabel received a J.D. degree from Harvard Law School in 1976 and an undergraduate degree from Columbia College in 1972.
Mr. Sabel is a member of the Bar in New York and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
