Jacques Reding is a partner based in the Brussels and Frankfurt offices.

Mr. Reding's practice focuses on cross-border M&A, joint ventures, restructurings and corporate finance transactions. Mr. Reding also has extensive experience advising on Belgian business law. He lectures and is widely published on the various aspects of mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures.

Mr. Reding is distinguished as a leading Corporate/M&A lawyer by both Chambers Global and Chambers Europe.

For more than 20 years, Mr. Reding has been advising clients on large and complex restructurings, as well as on a number of business transforming M&A and joint venture transactions. He represents international clients across a broad range of industry sectors including the automotive, consumer products, information technology, manufacturing, media industries and pharmaceutical healthcare industries.

Mr. Reding joined the firm’s Brussels office in 1981 and became a partner in 1989. From 1993 he was resident in our New York office, returning to the Brussels office in late 1996. Since 2011, he shares his time between the Brussels and Frankfurt offices of the firm.

Mr. Reding received an LL.M degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1981. He received a law degree in 1978 and a master's degree in economic law in 1979 from the University of Brussels.

Mr. Reding is a member of the Bar in Brussels and New York. His native language is French, and he is fluent in English.
