Jay Hoon Choi’s practice focuses on capital markets transactions.

He has represented both issuers and underwriters in a variety of private placement and public offerings of a large number of foreign private issuers, primarily those based in Korea.

Jay joined the firm in 1998 and became counsel in 2006. From January 1998 to August 1999 and from July 2002 to December 2005, he was resident in the New York office. From January 2006 to October 2012, he was resident in the Hong Kong office.

  • Issuers in Korean IPOs with international tranche, including IPOs of Innocean, Cheil Industries, Hi-Mart, Samsung Life Insurance, Jinro, Tong Yang Life Insurance and Samsung Card.

  • POSCO on SEC-registered ADR offerings, private placement global bond offerings and on-going SEC reporting obligations.
