Jennifer Kennedy Park is a partner based in the New York office.
Ms. Kennedy Park’s practice focuses on litigation, particularly litigation related to capital markets transactions and mergers and acquisitions, and white-collar defense and corporate investigations.
Ms. Kennedy Park represented Bank of America in investigations concerning its acquisition of Merrill Lynch by federal and state authorities, including obtaining approval of the settlement with the SEC relating to the acquisition, and currently represents Bank of America in federal and state complex litigations relating to the acquisition. Ms. Kennedy Park also currently represents Citigroup in a Securities Act class action involving mortgage pass-through certificates, in which she won last year the dismissal of claims against 16 of the 18 offerings at issue and is defending Citigroup against trade secret misappropriation claims, relating to the bank’s Yield Book analytical software. Ms. Kennedy Park recently represented Dollar Thrifty in defeating an action brought by its shareholders to preliminary enjoin the proposed merger with Hertz.
Ms. Kennedy Park has represented public companies, financial institutions and individuals under investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Department of Justice, the U.S. Congress, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and several states attorney generals. Her recent enforcement matters have involved representing a senior executive at a major hedge fund in an insider trading investigation, a senior executive at a major cosmetics company in an insider trading investigation, and a leading pharmaceutical company in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigation. Ms. Kennedy Park has substantial experience with the EU Data Protection Directive and co-authored an article entitled, "The Impact of EU Data Protection Laws on U.S. Government Enforcement Investigations."
Ms. Kennedy Park is also very active in the firm's pro bono practice, including recently obtaining a reversal of a client's conviction for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Ms. Kennedy Park is a member of the Bar in New York and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. She is a current member of the Westchester Committee of the Federal Bar Council and a former member of the Criminal Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association.
