Scott R. Goodwin is a senior attorney based in the Washington, D.C. office.
Mr. Goodwin’s practice focuses on structured finance, joint ventures, and general corporate transactions. He represents issuers, underwriters, collateral managers and financial guaranty insurers in connection with the issuance and management of collateralized debt obligations and mortgage-backed securities. He also represents parties in the negotiation and documentation of joint ventures, particularly ventures outside the United States.

Mr. Goodwin was an associate with the firm from 1992 until 1996 and from 1998 to 2001, and became a senior attorney in 2001. He was employed with Marriott International from 1996 to 1998 as an international development attorney with primary responsibility for negotiating and restructuring hotel projects outside the United States. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Goodwin was employed as an accountant in the hotel industry for Sheraton and Holiday Inns. He received a J.D. degree,
magna cum laude, from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1992 and an undergraduate degree with distinction from Cornell University in 1979.
Mr. Goodwin is a member of the Bar in the District of Columbia, and is a former member of the Bar and Certified Public Accountant in Maryland.
