Jinduk Han is a partner based in the Hong Kong office.
Mr. Han’s practice includes a wide range of international securities and corporate matters including private placements and public offerings of the debt and equity securities of a large number of Asian issuers, primarily those based in Korea. In 1998, he led the firm’s team representing the Republic of Korea in the country’s first-ever global debt offering, and he has also led the firm’s team representing the issuer on a number of privatizations, including KT Corporation and POSCO. Other public sector issuers which he has represented include The Korea Development Bank, The Export-Import Bank of Korea, The City of Seoul and The City of Taegu. Private sector issuers which he has represented include Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Electronics, Samsung Corporation, Samsung SDI, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, LG Display, LG Electronics, LG Chem, GS Caltex, SK Telecom, SK Corporation, STX Pan Ocean and Daewoo Corporation. Issuers in the banking sector with which he has worked include Chohung Bank, Koram Bank, H&CB, Commercial Bank of Korea, Long-Term Credit Bank of Korea and Pusan Bank. Mr. Han also represented the underwriters in Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation’s first exchangeable bond offering. Mr. Han’s M&A transactions include the investment by an affiliate of the Goldman Sachs Group in Kookmin Bank.

Mr. Han joined the firm in 1989 and became a partner in 1997. He moved from the New York office to the Hong Kong office in 1993. During a leave of absence from 1990 to 1992, Mr. Han worked at the law firm of Kim & Chang in Seoul, Korea. Mr. Han received a J.D. degree, cum laude
