Michael D. Dayan is a partner based in the New York office.
Mr. Dayan’s practice includes structuring and documenting complex over-the-counter and capital markets derivative products and regulatory analysis of securities, margin, commodities, bank regulatory and insolvency issues relating to derivative products.
Mr. Dayan is designated as a "star performer" for derivatives by

Mr. Dayan joined the firm in 1993 and became partner in 2003. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Dayan worked as a certified public accountant for Deloitte, Haskins & Sells. He received a J.D. degree,
magna cum laude, in 1992 from Harvard Law School, where he was a member of the editorial board of the Law Review. He received an undergraduate degree,
summa cum laude, from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania in 1986. Mr. Dayan also served as law clerk to the Honorable Jon O. Newman of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Mr. Dayan is a member of the Bar in New York. He is also a member of the Global Documentation Steering Committee and the ISDA Equity Derivatives and Credit Derivatives Market Practice Committees.
