Mary P. Watson is a senior attorney based in the New York office.
Ms. Watson's practice focuses on litigation, arbitration and employment advice. She is also the Director of Professional Development.
Ms. Watson was selected as a member of the YWCA of the City of New York’s 2010 Class of the Academy of Women Leaders. She was honored for her professional achievements, contributions to the community and dedication to women’s and diversity initiatives.
Ms. Watson joined the firm in 1994 and became a senior attorney in 1999. Prior to joining the firm, she served as law clerk for the Honorable Ellsworth A. Van Graafeiland of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit (1993-1994) and the Honorable James L. Latchum of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware (1992 –1993). Ms. Watson received a J.D. degree,
summa cum laude, in 1992 from Yeshiva University, Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she graduated first in her class and was also editor-in-chief of the
Law Review. She received an undergraduate degree from Amherst College in 1982. From 2006 to 2008, Ms. Watson took a sabbatical and served as Dean of the Faculty at Saint Ann's School in Brooklyn, New York, where she is also a long-time member of the Board of Trustees and a former Chairman of its Classics Department.
Ms. Watson is a member of the Bar in New York and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York.
