Cleary Gottlieb counsel Francesca Gesualdi participated in a panel discussion, together with the Italian Minister for Equal Opportunities and other prominent speakers, at the October 2021 PWA Conference: People, Planet and Prosperity: The Gap in Gender Equality, organized by Professional Women’s Association of Rome.
Speakers debated on the way Italian women can protect and promote their rights on gender equality, including how to achieve equal pay; the economics behind gender equality-related issues; takeaways from discussions within the G20 summit of which Italy hosts the Presidency this year; and Italy’s government plan to reduce the gap in gender equality by 2030.
