Compagnie de Saint-Gobain’s €2 Billion Inaugural Green Offering

Cleary Gottlieb represented BNP Paribas S.A., as ESG structuring advisor and global coordinator; HSBC Continental Europe, as global coordinator; and the active bookrunners in connection with Compagnie de Saint-Gobain’s €2 billion inaugural green offering under its EMTN program.

The transaction consisted in an offering of €1 billion aggregate principal amount of 3.375% green notes due April 8, 2030, and €1 billion aggregate principal amount of 3.625% green notes due April 8, 2034.

Compagnie de Saint-Gobain will use the net proceeds of the offering to finance or refinance, in whole or in part, new or existing eligible projects following the eligibility criteria set out in its green bond framework.

The transaction priced on March 26, 2024, and closed on April 8, 2024.
