So is excellence. New associates are given meaningful assignments and expected to solve problems, not just take directions. When you have questions, senior lawyers will guide you, whether or not they are assigned to your matter. As your knowledge grows, your relationships deepen.
Your education as a lawyer not only takes place on the job but in our training classes. You'll receive training at every stage of your career — training that clearly defines our expectations for you, and prepares you to exceed them. We also help you maintain a good balance — are you working too hard, or not working hard enough?
A balance we'll do our best to help you achieve. There is no standing on ceremony at our Monday lunches — where associates relax and get acquainted with each other and our partners or at our annual Wrangler’s event, where teams of first-year associates put together videos sending up the firm. Acting chops optional, a sharp sense of humor required.
Along with being steeped in our culture, you'll be immersed in the practical sides of our business. Learning to view matters from our client’s perspective, for example, or supervising more junior lawyers early on.
In short, we set a high bar for our associates — and teach them to soar above it.
