Given the global nature of our practice, we advise sovereigns, multinational and domestic corporations, and banks and other financial institutions in the full range of construction and infrastructure projects, which involve energy projects, toll roads, ports and transportation systems. We work closely with our clients from a project’s initiation until its completion—through years of planning, structuring innovative financings, preparing contract documentation, handling negotiations and dispute resolution.   • Counsel to Sociedad Operadora del Tren Rapido de Guanajuato in the $1.3 billion project financing of Tren Rapdio de Guanajuato, a light rail in Mexico.

  • Counsel in the financing by a joint venture comprising Brisa Auto-estradas de Portugal and Companhia de Concessões Rodoviáras to take over the operation of the Northwest Parkway toll road in Denver, Colorado.

  • Counsel to OAO Gazprom in the Blue Stream project to construct and operate a 760 km gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey under the Black Sea, including a $2.6 billion financing involving four separate bank facilities.

  • Counsel to AIG Global Investment Group (AIGGIG), in connection with its acquisitions of P&O Ports North America, MTC Holdings and Puerta Mexico.

  • Counsel to the Government Development Bank of Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority in the procurement process for the award of a $4 billion service contract for the operation and management of the Puerto Rico water and wastewater system – the largest-ever awarded O&M contract in the water and wastewater industry.
