Mariana Alvarez Gaiani is a senior attorney based in the Buenos Aires office.
Ms. Alvarez Gaiani’s practice focuses on international corporate and financing transactions in Latin America, particularly mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, cross-border financing and private equity transactions.
Ms. Alvarez Gaiani rejoined the firm in 2009 and became a senior attorney in 2011; she previously served as an international lawyer in the New York office from 1998 to 1999. Prior to rejoining the firm, she worked at Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Ms. Alvarez Gaiani received her law degree (with honors) from the Facultad de Derecho – Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1995. She received an LL.M degree (OAS and Fulbright Scholar) from Duke University School of Law in 1998. She also holds an English-Spanish public translator degree from the Universidad Católica Argentina.
Ms. Alvarez Gaiani is a member of the Bars in Buenos Aires and New York. Her native language is Spanish and she is fluent in English.
