Summer associates will find no shortage of opportunities to supplement their education outside the law school classroom:
- Learn from lawyers discussing recent assignments, updates in their fields and developments in the law. A two-day corporate training seminar will give you an understanding of transactional practice areas and the skills required to succeed.
- Attend a litigation workshop and interactive "bootcamp," where you'll take and defend depositions before testing your knowledge in a series of exercises.
- Attend a weekly in-house summer luncheon series, hosted by different practice groups. Partners and associates describe their practices, why they became interested in them, and their day-to-day work. In addition, guest speakers discuss topics of interest.
- Take advantage of on-the-job training: summer associates work alongside lawyers of all levels as they handle transactions and cases, and directly assist Cleary Gottlieb lawyers with their assignments.
