Washington: About Hiring

In making hiring decisions we take into consideration, a candidate’s academic and other achievements, written evaluations from the candidate’s interviews, the candidate’s references, and our overall hiring goals. Candidates who receive offers are welcome to return for further visits or to request additional information that may prove helpful in arriving at their decisions. We schedule follow-up dinners in various cities to provide candidates with outstanding offers an additional opportunity to ask questions and to meet lawyers from the firm.

Although we conduct most lawyer hiring for Washington through our on-campus interview program, we also welcome written applications from students at schools we are unable to visit and from judicial clerks. From time to time, depending on our needs, we also welcome applications from those with relevant experience.
