S. Douglas Borisky is counsel based in the New York office.
Mr. Borisky's practice focuses on federal income tax matters and related issues, including domestic and cross-border financing transactions, international corporate tax advice and liability management transactions for corporate and sovereign borrowers and tax reporting and other tax compliance issues. The Legal 500 U.S. Mr. Borisky joined the firm in 1986 and became counsel in 1995. He received a J.D. degree from Columbia University in 1986 and an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in 1983.
Mr. Borisky is a member of the Bar in New York. He served as a member of the Internal Revenue Service's Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee from 2009-2011, and chaired its Emerging Compliance Issues subgroup in 2010. He also is a member of the Executive Committee of the Tax Section of the New York State Bar Association and is the co-chair of its Cross-Border Capital Markets Committee.
