Laurie Achtouk-Spivak is an associate based in the Paris office.
Ms. Achtouk-Spivak’s practice focuses on international arbitration and litigation, with a particular emphasis on public international law. Ms. Achtouk-Spivak represents investors and sovereigns in investment treaty arbitrations before ICSID as well as other arbitration institutions. She has also taken part in several commercial arbitrations including some involving sovereigns and often provides companies with investment structuring advice.
Ms. Achtouk-Spivak joined the firm in 2006. She received an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School in 2006. She also received a DEA in international law from Paris II in 2005 and a DESS in international business law from Paris I / Sciences-Po in 2004. In 2004, she graduated from Sciences-Po, with a major in business law,
summa cum laude. Ms. Achtouk-Spivak regularly publishes on investment treaty arbitration.
Ms. Achtouk-Spivak is a member of the Bars in New York and Paris. Her native language is French, and she is fluent in English and proficient in Italian.
