Gianluca Faella is an associate based in the Rome office.
Mr. Faella’s practice focuses on European Union and Italian competition law, as well as regulation, contract and corporate law.
He is an adjunct professor of Competition Law & Economics at LUISS Guido Carli University (Rome) and lectures regularly on antitrust law issues in LL.M. courses at various universities. He is a research fellow at the Law & Economics Lab (Rome) and at the LUISS Guido Carli University.
Mr. Faella has delivered speeches at numerous conferences on competition matters and is the author of several publications on antitrust, unfair competition law, intellectual property and civil law issues. Mr. Faella joined the firm in 2005. He graduated with honors from the Law School of LUISS Guido Carli University (Rome) in 1999 and obtained an LL.M. degree, cum laude, from the Erasmus Universiteit of Rotterdam in 2003. He completed a Ph.D. program in Law and Economics at LUISS Guido Carli University in 2005, during which he was also a research scholar at the New York Law School. Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate with Studio Legale Tributario (an Ernst & Young law alliance practice) from 1999 to 2002 and worked as an intern at the Italian Antitrust Authority in 2000.
Mr. Faella has been a member of the Rome Bar since 2005. He is a native Italian speaker, is fluent in English and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
