Robert T. Greig is senior counsel based in the Paris office.

Mr. Greig’s practice includes international arbitration and litigation, including public international law matters.

Mr. Greig is internationally distinguished by Chambers Global and Chambers Europe. According to the publications, market commentators have lauded him for his “amazing skills in arbitration.”

Mr. Greig joined the firm in 1973, became a partner in 1979 and became senior counsel in 2010. From 1992 to 2004, he was resident in the New York office, from 1987 to 1992, he was resident in the Tokyo office, and from 1982 to 1987, in the Hong Kong office. Mr. Greig received a J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan in 1970 and an undergraduate degree from Cornell University in 1967. From 1971 to 1973, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Charles D. Breitel of the New York Court of Appeals. 

Mr. Greig is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has served as an arbitrator in ICC and AAA arbitrations. He has written and lectured on numerous topics related to his field of speciality.

Mr. Greig is a member of the Bars in New York and Michigan. He is admitted to practice before New York and Michigan state courts and to several U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal and U.S. District Courts.
