At Cleary Gottlieb, we seek a diverse pool of talent by recruiting from a variety of different sources. Every year, we actively interview at law school campuses throughout the United States and engage in a dynamic selection process that allows us to attract future lawyers who may have a successful and rewarding experience at the firm. We also recruit international lawyers for internships in our New York office. The participants in this program come from countries in South America, Asia and Europe and bring a knowledge of their local jurisdictions that greatly informs our global practice. Valuing other professional and life experience, the firm encourages applications from experienced lawyers as well—whether they come from judicial clerkships, government positions or from other law firms.
