Jürgen J. Sieger is a partner based in the Cologne office.
Mr. Sieger’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions as well as corporate law. His expertise extends to a broad range of industry sectors. Chambers Global ranks Mr. Sieger as one of the leading corporate/M&A lawyers of the country and he has been recognized by JUVE, the leading German guide to law firms, as one of the top ten senior M&A lawyers in Germany. Mr. Sieger authored numerous publications on corporate law.
Mr. Sieger joined the firm in 2006 as a partner. Previously, Mr. Sieger was a partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Cologne, where he was heading the corporate practice. Mr. Sieger received a doctorate in law (Dr. iur.) from the University of Cologne in 1983. He passed the second state law examination in Hamburg in 1981 and the first state law examination at the University of Bonn in 1978.
Mr. Sieger is a member of the Bar in Cologne. His native language is German and he is fluent in English.
