Stephen H. Shalen is senior counsel based in the New York office.
Mr. Shalen's practice focuses on corporate and securities law. He has extensive experience in corporate governance matters, public and private debt and equity financings, stock and asset acquisitions and divestitures, leveraged leasing and project finance.
Mr. Shalen joined the firm in 1974 and became a partner in 1982. He received a J.D. degree, cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1974 and an undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Harvard College in 1971.
Mr. Shalen is a member of the Bar in New York and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He is a former Secretary of the Committee on Corporations of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
