William B. McGurn has had an international practice, focusing on international litigations and arbitrations and cross-border acquisitions and joint ventures.
William joined the firm in 1972 and was a partner from 1981 to 2011. He was resident in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office until 1985, in its Paris office until 2001, and in its Rome office until 2011.
Prior to completing law school, William served to the rank of Lieutenant in the United States Sixth and Atlantic Fleets. He is a past president of the American Chamber of Commerce in France, and a current director of various non-profit organizations.
