Christopher Yu is an associate based in the Hong Kong office.
Mr. Yu’s practice includes a broad range of corporate finance transactions such as securities offerings, initial public offerings and listings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, private and public mergers and acquisitions as well as public takeovers. He is also experienced in handling compliance and general corporate matters.
Mr. Yu is one of the first members to join the firm's Hong Kong law practice in 2011. He received a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, College of Law, New South Wales in 2001 and an LLB (Hons)/Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 2000. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Yu trained and worked at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in their Hong Kong and London offices and he also worked in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong.
Mr. Yu completed his training contract and qualified to practice as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2004 and in England & Wales in 2007. He is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
