Mona Chammas is an associate based in the Brussels office.
Ms. Chammas' practice focuses on E.U., U.S. and Belgian competition law.
Ms. Chammas joined the firm in 2005 as a stagiaire, focusing on European and Belgian competition law. From 2007 to 2008, she was trained at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in U.S. Antitrust Law, and came back to Cleary's Brussels office in 2008. She obtained an LL.M. degree from Columbia Law School in 2007, where she was a Fulbright, an honorary BAEF and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She received a Law degree,
summa cum laude, from the Catholic University of Louvain in 2004 and a Masters Degree in European Law,
magna cum laude, from the University of Ghent in 2005.
Ms. Chammas is a member of the Brussels Bar. Ms. Chammas is also a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), of the New York City Bar and of the Conférence du Jeune Barreau (CJBB), and she is the co-chair of the BAEF Alumni Committee in the U.S.
Her native language is French, she is fluent in English and Dutch and has a fair knowledge of Arabic.
